In August 2021 Tom Claypole the son of City Couriers Direct owner Darryl Claypole was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumour.

Darryl and his wife Sylvia have decided to embark on a number of fundraising events over the next few months to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Research charity.

In July Darryl will embark on a virtual John. O’Groats to Lands End Bike Ride. This will be done every day starting on 1st July and finishing on the 31st. The total distance is 837 miles and will be split into 31 legs of approximately 30 miles each leg. He will be doing this at the Nuffield Health gym in Chesterfield & each days progress will be recorded on Social Media.

There will be opportunities for people to donate via the Go Fund Me link below but we are also looking for people or businesses to sponsor each leg for £100.

In August Sylvia will be donning her flying suit and carrying out a wing walk on a Bi-Plane at an airfield in Lincolnshire. This daredevil event will again be recorded on social media so everyone can see Sylvia do the loop the loop standing on top of the plane.

Finally along with their dog Percy, Sylvia and Darryl will be walking up Ben Nevis in September along with other fundraisers supporting the Brain Tumour Research Charity.

Their target is to raise £5000 by September, so if you can donate please visit the Go Fund Me page and if you are able to sponsor a leg on the bike ride please call Darryl on 07851 429028.
